On Wednesday afternoons, after a morning of curriculum with Regan, we get to do life skills and recreation stuff with Renee (our youth worker), and our mentors (whoever decides to hang around).
A couple of weeks ago, we had the idea of building a couple of skating 'toys'.... we know the likelihood of getting a full skate park on the roll is a bit ambitious (yet!!), but building a couple of grind boxes and maybe a half pipe is fully achievable!
So... we set out looking on the net for construction plans and have found a couple that we reckon we can follow. In the meantime, we've also set out to raise some money for the project.
